I had a great childhood.
I grew up in Thohoyandou, Limpopo. My parents did their best to provide all the necessities and little pleasures for our family. From as far back as I can remember, my little sister and I would sing and make up skits for our own entertainment. My dad was an opera singer and music lecturer, so we would mimic the late opera singer Luciano Pavarotti and all the operettas we watched and listened to. If that wasn’t a sign that I would end up in entertainment, then I don’t know what would’ve been.
My big break came straight after varsity when I was cast in The Lion King in Hong Kong, as Nala.
