What You Believe Is What You See!
UNIQUE TIMES|July - August 2021
Our mindset is a sum of our beliefs, experiences, conditioning, knowledge, perception, and thoughts about the world we live in. It is also how you see yourself. Your mindset is the ultimate determinant of your success. We have seen some people accomplish more than others. We see that some people believe in themselves more than others and are more optimistic about things & tomorrow. What makes them do so is the mindset they developed. Those who achieve great success believe that they can accomplish big things. Your mind controls the way you look at things, the way you talk and make decisions.

What You Believe Is What You See!

Psychologists say there are predominantly two types of mindsets: Fixed mindset and Growth mindset. A fixed mindset is stopping you from taking risks and avoids opportunities. It holds you down on self-doubt, always criticizes yourself, and assumes that you cannot possibly change anything for good. The fixed mindset in your head tells you, “You will not be able to finish that task successfully, don’t attempt it…” On the other hand, a growth mindset believes that you can achieve greater things if you put your heart and soul into it. A growth mindset encourages you by realizing that continuous efforts and persistence always takes you ahead in life, and your commitment to excellence will definitely bring you accolades & success one day if you keep up.

One can always improve. With consistent actions, you can always better your surroundings and defeat adversities. You just got to create the right mindset. You need to trust your talent and skills. Have a self-analysis to list down your positives & negatives, strengths, weaknesses & improvement areas. When the fixed mindset discourages you to move ahead, talk up to yourself and banish all the negative talks in your head. Always have a goal and purpose for you. List down your goals and work towards it. Celebrate each milestone. Look back at each success and pat yourself on the back, and do realize that how far you’ve come. Be patient about your plight. Nothing happens overnight.
