The year 2020 marked one of the most disruptive times in the history of man-kind. It truly transcended boundaries and geographies and brought down on the world, a pandemic which hurt at every level in every continent.

THE DISRUPTIVE YEAR THAT WAS - 2020

It seemed like the worst nightmare right out of a Hollywood movie came alive and how! The effects of the virus took toll in every walk of life and suddenly mankind, despite all the technological achievements, seemed vulnerable to travesties of nature and biology. Suddenly just human survival took precedence in action and thought, and every intelligent mind was looking for solutions and panacea on what would alleviate medical woes, economy blues, unemployment and a complete shift in lifestyles. Every element of education that we spend learning and further embellishing through experience seemed in capable of deciphering the changes let alone finding solutions. The continuous boost of optimism from every quarter was welcome but we welcome every news with caution as if the worst is yet to come. Perhaps it was also a year when the pessimists did gloat at their abilities because in several spaces – the worst did happen. The attempt of this article is not a deep dive into every aspect of change that was thrust upon us but to look at a few indicators which will cement the fact that – we are in for everlasting change.
