Coming from a family which has traditionally been engaged with the retail grocery wholesale business, Dharmendra Deoda is credited as the first to establish The Raymond Shop (TRS) in the entire Marathwada region. Back in 1986, he was quick to grab the opportunity to open a Raymond store in order to diversify and expand the family business in Aurangabad. Riding on Raymond’s outstanding brand recall and robust business growth, Deoda expanded his business by establishing another TRS in 1998 in Aurangabad. Excerpts from the interview:
