Now, Healthcare Through The 'Ehealth' Network
The Franchising World|May 2018

India has been ranked 31 of the 32 countries assessed by consultant KPMG International in its global ‘Through the Looking Glass’ report, which was based on the global transparency index on healthcare systems. So what does this imply?

Now, Healthcare Through The 'Ehealth' Network

Traditionally, the healthcare system in India has been fragmented with multiple healthcare providers, payers, diagnostic centers, clinics and pharmacies. Unfortunately, there is no common platform to bring them all together to benefit patients who should always be the ultimate beneficiaries. Due to the lack of transparency in healthcare, more than 62% of Indians spend “out of pocket” for medical expenses and do not have health insurance. Over 70% of surgical interventions can be prevented if the right diagnosis is provided.

To make the system more transparent and healthcare available to all, Shiva Naidu Kondati took a plunge into the healthcare sector by setting up the eHealth Network Solutions in 2016. “The idea was to solve the challenges of transparency, availability, making healthcare services readily available to all sections of the society whether rural or urban, and to integrate the entire healthcare ecosystem,” he says. “We have started eHealth Network Solutions with the motto that a business should not just focus on revenue but instead pay attention to the value, benefits and service it is providing to the end customer. Our idea originated from looking at the rapidly growing healthcare startups with not many of them focused on integrating the broken healthcare system and bringing all players on to a single platform,” he adds.
