Born and bred in the energy sector, Houston-based Stallion Oilfield Services is branching out, applying decades of expertise as an industry-leading oilfield services company to a broader audience. A drive to help their customers find innovative ways to create sustained value has led them into an exciting new phase of growth; today they are leveraging their deep knowledge of expert logistics, integrated solutions, and smart technology to just about every industry across the U.S.
To reinforce their expansion across industry sectors, the company recently rebranded to a single word that embodies the company’s strength, speed, power, and spirit: Stallion.
As one of the biggest providers of auxiliary rentals and business services for domestic oil and gas operations, Stallion pioneered the concept of delivering end-to-end life cycle services from a single source. To insulate their business from the cyclical nature of the energy sector, and to continue their legacy of trailblazing, Stallion proactively diversified their industry coverage and customer portfolio into new business areas.
While the transformation was underway prior to the pandemic, the effects of the crisis coupled with the disruption of the energy markets in late 2019 helped to accelerate it. The stallion had identified the need for integrated solutions and took a bundled approach to providing rental assets and services with expert logistics, blending their demonstrated aptitude for deploying those assets into remote locations with the latest in smart technology.
“We believe there is a need for connectivity, stronger communication capability, rental equipment, disaster relief, and temporary workplace accommodations in other industries than energy,” said David Mannon, Stallion’s President and CEO. “We are fortunate that our winning formula applies to many seemingly unrelated industries and we are being pulled by myriad customers into those industries to address and support some unique challenges.”
Stallion’s extensive nationwide geographic footprint includes 23 operations and maintenance facilities, additional staging yards, and tens of thousands of expertly maintained pieces of equipment strategically located throughout their operational network.
With a workforce of over 800 and a supplier base of 20,000 and counting, Stallion serves the oil and gas, mining, and renewables industries, and is a go-to player in the construction support sector as well as in emergency and disaster relief, industrial plant services, utilities, events and entertainment, shipping and maritime, and telecommunications.
“We strive to be the leader in providing safe, socially responsible, reliable, and novel solutions to a broad spectrum of customers,” Mannon said. “We listen to our customer needs, solve their problems in innovative ways that are cost-effective, and rapidly execute them flawlessly. We’re really good at what we do and have built a great reputation as problem-solvers.”
