Glamour And Pizzazz, Bengali-Style!

Despite no formal training in jewellery designing, Radhika Jain, founder, MiRA, has carved a niche for herself in the jewellery industry with some of the renowned collections to her credit. Read on to know how she found her calling, from where she draws inspiration from and what’s more in her kitty.

I am a commerce graduate and hold a diploma in graphic and web designing. Further, I did a course in gemology with distinction. This academic background, coupled with my creative zeal, has made me pursue my innate passion for designing. I have always been a creative person with a yen for everything artistic and have not taken any formal training in designing from any institute. I found my calling in life one summer while helping my cousin Milky design jewellery. I was so fascinated by the whole process that I decided to design my own creations. I used my creative skills to design pieces that were appreciated by all. That boosted my confidence and inspired me to take up jewellery designing as a profession. From turning my passion into a career to designing some of the renowned collections today, the transition has been so smooth and quick that I did not have the time to realise how and when it all happened. But I must say, my creative designs always spoke for themselves and helped me find my voice in the industry.
