Agri Enterprises Will Get Customised Policy for Different Investment Slabs

Rajasthan Government is organising an International Agritech Conference cum exhibition in Jaipur in November this year. Senior Cabinet Minister Yoonus Khan spearheaded the New Delhi Roadshow for the event. In an exclusive interview with BK Jha, he spoke about investment opportunities in the state.

What is the main objective of Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet(GRAM)? 

The Government of Rajasthan is committed to developing agriculture and allied ecosystem to increase farm incomes in the state. The state has conceived GRAM as an agri-technology and business event. It would be a platform to transform and catalyse the process of improving the sustainability and economic viability of agriculture and allied activities shaping globalized, market-driven and profitable ventures. We will showcase our strength and opportunities in agriculture sector.

Is it a follow up act, after the Resurgent Rajasthan which was organised in November last year? 

Our Chief Minister firmly believes in inclusive growth. After last year’s grand success of ‘ Resurgent Rajasthan,’which witnessed signing of business agreement worth Rs 3.2 lakh crore, the government wants to explore all investment potential in agriculture sector for the benefit of farmers. Policies are in place.

Going forward, with reference to GRAM, we will attract investment from all small, medium and large enterprises working in agriculture and allied areas.Under our existing policy, we will offer them customised policy for different investment slabs. Overall, GRAM aims to accelerate development of sustainable agricultural and allied activities through innovative methods and best practices.
