The Pagani Huayra R may well be a high-tech car disguised as a hypercar.
Robert Stedman

Singapore has a new hypercar player after local car group, Eurokars, inked a deal to represent, Pagani, the luxury Italian sports car maker. That car company derives its name from founder, Horacio Pagani, who at one time managed Lamborghini’s composites department.

Racecars use composite materials like carbon fiber to make them both strong and light. A lighter vehicle is faster as uses the old mass-times-acceleration equation. Later, Pagani went on to set up the company, Composite Research, in 1988. This new company worked with Lamborghini on numerous projects. In 1991, Pagani established another company, Modena Design, to meet the increasing demand for his design, engineering, and prototyping expertise.

In 1992, he began construction of a Fangio F1 prototype. In 1994, Mercedes-Benz agreed to supply Pagani with V12 engines. The final car was named the Zonda C12, the first of the Pagani’s Zonda line, which was revealed at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. In 2010, Pagani claimed a new record for production-based cars using a Pagani Zonda R to beat the Ferrari 599XX. But hold your breath, Pagani’s latest car is even more awesome and incredible. It’s the very definition of a ‘hypercar’.

Pagani cars are not only super expensive but also very rare as they have a limited production capacity of about 50 units per year. In fact, all the Pagani models set to be delivered in 2022 have been sold. The new Pagani vehicles allocated for Singapore and Southeast Asian markets will give clients in the region the opportunity to immerse in the Pagani brand experience and configure a one-of-a-kind vehicle tailored to the individual’s dreams, at the Pagani of Singapore Brand Experience Centre. About the new Singapore dealership, Horacio Pagani, explained, “It’s pivotal for us to expand the business and strengthen our presence in Southeast Asia, where some of the most discerning car collectors are.”
