It is a truth nationally acknowledged that our population growth is burdening the need for systematic and fast-paced infrastructure growth, especially in the space of healthcare. The Government is doing what it can to ensure a sufficient supply of infrastructure, but there is a need for more support in the healthcare infrastructure segment. We need better and more healthcare facilities. Today, we require 2 million beds and close to 5 lakh more doctors. In addition to the gap in infrastructure, there is a daunting need for more funds to improve and maintain the necessary urban healthcare facilities.
Technology-driven construction can fast-track infrastructure. China, for example could quickly respond to the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus with a 1,000-bed hospital being constructed in record 10 days. This amplifies what intelligent construction can do.
