One of the biggest challenges in intensive vegetable farming is the cost and availability of labour. In broccoli production, for example, harvesting takes up around half of the total working time required.
To address this challenge, a highperformance Agro Intelligence ApS field robot has been combined with a broccoli-harvesting robot from RoboVeg. The result, the RoboVeg Robotti, won one of 16 silver medals at the 2022 Agritechnica Innovation Awards.
The machine is powered by two engines that deliver a total output of 104kW, with 40kW tapped off at the power take-off shaft. The machine has a lifting power of 750kg.
