The reason to start Vasshin Composites in 2019, as told by Abhinav Talwar its CEO is to reduce use of plastic while safeguarding the environment. With this, it seeks to mitigate forest fires caused by pine needles and nurture flora in his hometown in Himachal Pradesh. Pine needles are the leaves of the pine trees and apparently have no major use other than making a green dye and resin. Since decades, Talwar has been a witness to forest fires caused by the foliage.
“I have been observing the damage they cause in terms of fires and how the needles hinder the growth of flora on the floor. There is no constructive use or application of the pine needles, other than resin”, says Talwar.
