Siddharth Ramasubramanian, CEO & Founder of Vegolution enjoys reading when he wants to actively communicate without speaking. Looking into the future of food consumption requires him to flex his mental muscles out of his comfort zone regularly. Exposing himself to the written works of great minds gives him the encouragement and perspective he needs to keep pushing ahead while challenging the status quo.

Kitchen Confidential

I was hurt when Anthony Bourdain died. It came as a particular blow as I have spent most of my career in the hospitality business. For people in the industry there is so much truth in this book and for people outside it is an eye-opening glimpse into the lives of people who toil to make and serve you a great meal. It’s open, honest and delves into the dark side of life behind the stove. As consumers, we are quick to judge a poor meal but don’t fully appreciate the backstories that make a great one. In a world where everyone shares “their best self” on social media, Kitchen Confidential is a classic.

Kitchen Confidential: Insider's Edition After twenty-five years of 'sex, drugs, bad behaviour and haute cuisine', chef and novelist Anthony Bourdain decided to tell all. Shop Now
