Today, façades are not only visually appealing but also adopt high-end technology and performance when it comes to functionality
POETRY IN MOTION

While facades are mainly confined to commercial buildings or hotels or malls, few residential projects would indulge in one. Today, more stress is given to design and creativity - be it design, materials, or playing with light. There is also much work around conserving energy and ensuring that its residents get enough daylight while the contractor has made use of natural materials cannot be denied.

Experimenting with parametric patterns and expressive metals like corten and zinc seem to be the mainstream direction as far as façades are concerned. There are several companies catering to providing innovative façade solutions, whether they are in aluminium, steel or glass. And the performance of a building is being measured using various parameters like the extent of artificial climate control required, analysis of residual positive and negative spaces, user comfort and most importantly, heightened user experience.
