ECL adopts mine planning software of Dassault Systems

Eastern Coalfields Ltd. has installed ‘Geovia Minex’, an integrated geology and mine planning software solution for coal deposits & to help its geologists prepare lithologs, contours (floor & roof ), folio plans and estimation of geological coal reserves.

The software provides better resource planning through pit design, pit optimization, scheduling of resources and dumps, etc.

The software, developed by Dassault Systems, ensures resources are evaluated accurately and mined efficiently from exploration to rehabilitation.

Data and skills can be readily moved between teams, delivering time and cost savings. Across the world, mining companies turn to Minex to more accurately design, plan and implement mining strategies which drive additional efficiencies, increase productivity, control costs and increase profitability.

Geological modeling

Minex’s geological modeling tools help geologists manage borehole data, and model and quantify stratified deposits, with support for even the most complex faults, environmental constraints and challenging economic conditions.
