Sense: Deciding not to head off to Snowdonia the same weekend Storm Ciara is due! But hey, when have I ever been sensible? However, no winter hardy camping in a bus nonsense for me—an amazing last minute offer saw us heading off to a cabin in Beddgelert at the foot of Snowdonia, complete with cosy log burner and a hot tub!
Just past Oswestry it began to snow, really snow. First snow of the year for us! Exciting—driving in a blizzard and white out. That child-like excitement lasted for about twenty minutes as it got heavier and heavier, making driving over the pass to Beddgelert a bit tricky and slippy. But the snow covered scenery and white mountains was amazing.
