This is a quaint little café at Knowl Hillon the A4 between Reading and Maidenhead, with room for parking for several trucks, although not open for evening meals or overnight parking. Nevertheless if you are delivering in the area and want a good breakfast or a hearty lunch then this is a great place to stop, with very friendly and helpful staff.
It is accessible from Junction 8/9 off the M4, and you then take the A404 (M) to Junction 9b and then turn left and follow the A4 for a couple of miles the café is on your right if coming from this direction. Alternatively if you are in Twyford, or the surrounding area, then you can join the A4 there and head east.
The café’s opening hours are 0630-1530 on Mondays to Fridays, 0630-1500 on Saturdays while it is closed on Sundays. Inside there is room to seat up to 48 people. The café has a sort of 1950’s American feel to it. It appeals to locals as well as truck drivers and offers a wide ranging menu from traditional Full English breakfasts to lunches.
