Come for the cars, stay for the people. It’s a familiar refrain after multiple seasons of ogling motors, reading articles, and attending shows. We in the VW community are blessed in that regard. It is without any hesitation that I count friends made here amongst my very best. And it was with the most profound sadness that on the morning of 7 December, I heard from these friends about the passing of Jeffrey Bynum. It was unexpected and a shock. Here was a man who had been completing a motor swap just the day before, gone too soon.
