It’s simple; this German car major wants to convey to everyone that “hey look here, we can make a real big electric vehicle that is far smarter than all your electric cars out there”. It is like cocking a snook at everyone.
But why launch such a vehicle in India? Again, simple, they want to tell every car maker in India offering those electric cars that “hey, we are the best”. Obviously they are not bothered how many they might sell in India, but at the end of the day it’s just a powerful statement from the company in the electric vehicle space.
The new Mercedes-Benz EQC is priced at Rs.99.30 lakh ex-showroom. The price includes for the first 50 units offerings like AC Wall Box charger, home electrical charger,5 years unlimited on road assistance, 5 years comprehensive service package, 5-year unlimited kilometers extended warranty, 8 years/160000kms battery cover. The AC wall box charger looks very exquisite and hi-tech and it makes a lot of sense when charging the vehicle.
The Mercedes-Benz EQC comes with three charging options – a 50kW DC fast charger, a 7.4kW AC wall charger, and a 2.4kW plug-in charger. While the DC fast charger will take about 90 minutes to charge the battery from 0 to 100 per cent, the AC wall box will take 10 hours to do the same. The standard plug charger will take about 21 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 100 per cent.

BMW iX E-Car Achieves 5-Stars In Euro NCAP Test
The BMW iX premium electric car which has been launched in India, has achieved five-star ratings in all test categories of the Euro NCAP crash test. In the assessment of adult occupant protection, the testers highlighted among other features the effectiveness of the new interactive airbag between the driver and front passenger seats, which provides additional protection against injury in the event of a side collision. Child safety in the rear of the BMW iX was also given the highest possible score for both frontal and side collisions.
