SML Isuzu all set to roll out BS-VI vehicles

The new year 2020 has begun with a remarkable milestone for SML Isuzu (SMLI). On January 3, the company received formal certification of BS-VI emission norms compliance for all its entire range of diesel-powered intermediate trucks (from 5 to 13 ton GVW) and buses ranging from 12 to 60 seats catering to school, staff, tourist, and luxury travel segments. With dedicated efforts of more than 3 years, the manufacturer has indigenously developed BS-VI technology with the help of fuel injection equipment and EGT aggregates suppliers, along with calibration support, homologation, and comprehensive vehicle testing from International Centre for Automotive Technology (iCAT), Manesar, for certification.

“At SML Isuzu, it’s our unrelenting quest towards upgrading our products and services to accentuate the satisfaction levels of our customers and end-users responsibly, just as reflected in our company’s slogan – “Be the Best, Be the One”. With the latest development, we are all ready to manufacture BS-VI compliant diesel trucks and buses well ahead of the deadline, thereby assuring our customers a seamless and comfortable transition into the BS-VI era”, said M.S. Ramta. He conveyed his gratitude to the iCAT team for extensive guidance and comprehensive support in developing appropriate modus operandi for meeting the new regulation.
