Project Honda CBR600F-V Track Bike Part 1: Track Day Hound!

This poor little Honda has been passed around the CMM office from Bertie to Scott Redmond and then on to yours truly and I have to admit I have done bugger all with it for a couple of years, but in my defence neither had the other two!

Yes, this was originally Bertie’s ‘Zero pound hound’ as he was given it gratis! From then, as with most people, life, work and anything else took over and he sold it to Scott who passed it on to me! Well, things are finally looking up for this CBR600. I say looking up... I’m going to get my arse in gear and turn it into a track bike. Looking around the bike, the only part of the bodywork that isn’t damaged is the petrol tank. The rear panels are missing and the exhaust was mentioned in an advisory on the last MoT so this will have to be addressed, along with wheel bearings and brakes, etc.

A list of consumables was written up then sent to our good friends at Wemoto, and a couple of days later I was greeted with a box of bearings, pads, service kit, fork seals, front brake lever and a battery.
