Postponed from soon after the pandemic lockdown started, this gathering was one of the first signs that some normality might be returning to Britain. The ‘open house’ was held at a restoration business owned by Packard Club member Garry Grigsby, who owns Beechfield Restorations Ltd in Worminghall, Buckinghamshire, a specialist in restoring antique furniture, and has been operating for many years.
There are two Packard limousines (one is a 1602 limousine and the other a 1402 limousine) in the workshop going through a complete strip and rebuild process, one of which is owned by Garry himself. Club members and friends were invited to see the operation at first hand, with food and drink generously provided, all organised and served by Garry’s wife Diana, ably helped by daughters Grace and Sofia.
