1970 Dodge Challenger
Classic American|November 2017

With prices skyrocketing on genuine sought-after classic Mopar muscle, making them all but out of reach – other than for very well-heeled collectors – the only other way to acquire the car of your dreams, that you can actually afford, is to build a tribute version.

1970 Dodge Challenger

That’s exactly what we have here for this month’s Drive-Buy. Our Challenger left the factory fitted with a 318cu in engine and a three-speed manual transmission. The car was previously owned by a Mopar enthusiast in the US who acquired the Challenger in the late Nineties as a future rebuild project which he commenced in 2005, completing it three years later. It was featured in the February 2008 edition of Muscle Car Review Magazine.
