Like all NCC shows it always has some of the best bikes that the National Chopper Club build, and it also has some really, really good ones from outside the club too. It’s one of those events that often turns up some real gems; bikes that aren’t quite the norm as far as most people regard them, bikes, in fact, like Becky’s lovely little VT125, or Shadow as they’re also called, Honda bobber that you see here in front of you.
She’d been planning to build a custom 125 for a little while, as she really fancied one, and’d started gathering plans and parts towards it, when this one appeared for sale locally. She says that it ticked all the boxes in her head, not least because not only had Ionut, the guy who’d built it, done everything, absolutely everything, himself, from the frame mods to the carbon fibre mudguards to the hand-carved seat to the paint, and not only was it his first-ever custom project, but it was actually his first ever bike, and the one he learnt to ride on, and passed his test on! Now I don’t know about you, but that, in my book, is some achievement!
