With the launch of Hyundai’s Kona Electric planned for July 9, here’s everything you should know about the compact crossover.
Come July 9, India will get its first long-range electric vehicle in the Hyundai Kona EV. To be locally assembled in India, Hyundai has confirmed in its launch phase, it will be sold in 16 cities across India. The company is expected to bring in an initial round of 1,000 units at the time of launch and will be offered with an optional AC charger for home that can juice up the SUV to a 100 per cent in 10-12 hours. Apart from that, select Hyundai dealerships will also offer free fast charging points for Kona EV owners. The Kona Electric also supports quick charging, wherein the batteries can go from zero to 80 per cent charge in just 54 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger.
