The Last Word: Building Frustration

Progress on the Model A bucket re-creation is moving along very nicely and it is now sitting on its own wheels. It would be easy to say everything has gone along smoothly and it all went together like magic. If you have any experience building a street rod like this, that doesn’t conform to “standard” practice, you have probably encountered many of the same problems. They never quite work out as intended.

Refer back to the early tech articles on this project and you will recall that I had a definite style and stance in mind for this car and proceeded to assemble all of the parts accordingly. Such plans always work out fine in your head, but soon you meet with changes that have to be made because problems arise that you didn’t anticipate.
