Easter in the Riverina results in hot cross buns and hot rods...
Narrandera Rod Run
Every Easter, the small country town of Narrandera (99 kilometres west of Wagga Wagga) overflows with all kinds of hot rods and custom cars. The motels are booked out, the restaurants put on extra staff and the town braces itself for four days of reliving everything the hot rodding lifestyle has to offer. With 400-plus entries making the pilgrimage to the 2019 event, this year was to be one of the biggest the town has hosted in its 35-year history!

Officially kicking off on Good Friday with cruising at the Lake Talbot Caravan Park and a Ladies Luncheon, the laid back events set the mood for the following couple of days.

Saturday saw the entrants assemble at the golf club before heading to nearby Ganmain for an impromptu show ’n’ shine along the historic town’s picturesque main street. The 45 kilometre trip from Narrandera to Ganmain saw lots of entrants cruise together in a massive “conga-line” of rods and customs. The streets of Ganmain were alive with hundreds of people walking the town checking out the cool rides and old shops, looking for that elusive old collectable.
