Colin’s coupe means business...
Bray 's Blown '34 Three Window
Having been in cars and on bikes since he grew out of nappies, Colin Bray has been a rev-head his whole life. He always had a soft spot for ’34 Fords and when he decided this model would be the one he built into his first street rod, went looking online to see what was available. This wicked ’34 Ford coupe build began as an unfinished project that Colin scored off eBay in December 2010.

The coupe took Colin the following eight years to complete, and although he admits the job was very challenging at times, he takes great pleasure in the satisfaction of seeing the build through to the end. Having achieved such an outstanding result, he should be proud, this car is a knockout!

When Colin took possession of this car it was little more than a Deuce Customs fibreglass reproduction body mounted to a boxed and strengthened original ’34 Ford chassis. This worked in Colin’s favour as the rolling chassis was of quality construction, but wasn’t so far built that it still offered plenty of potential options for running gear. He chose to fit his coupe with a blown big block Chevy heartbeat and automatic transmission, meanwhile the suspension, brakes and associated components could remain as purchased.
