EVERY YEAR WE GO TO THE SPECIALTY EQUIPMENT MARKET Association (SEMA) Show and wade through chromed-out show trucks and over-the-top 4x4s to find the products that will actually make your off-road vehicle more capable on the trail. As it was last year, the Jeep Wrangler JL was a popular platform, but this year the Jeep Gladiator JT was definitely the darling of the show. We skipped the halo headlights and 26-inch wheels in favor of things like suspension components that increase articulation and tires that will allow you to claw your way up the gnarliest of obstacles.

1 MICKEY THOMPSON BAJA PRO XS

We thought Mickey Thompson was nuts last year when the tire maker released the 43-inch Baja Pro X. Well, now we have the Baja Pro XS, the world’s tallest DOTapproved light truck tire. Designed after the extreme Baja Pro X, the Baja Pro XS is street legal with a tough four-ply bias construction. They will be available in 10 sizes, ranging from 35 inches tall all the way up to a ridiculous 58. Mickey Thompson also introduced the Baja Boss tire in a sticky compound for dedicated rock crawlers.

2 SWITCH PROS RCR-FORCE 12

This patent-pending, 12-switch power system from Switch-Pros uses solid-state technology for a 150-amp capacity that controls 17 outputs. Programming options include dimming memory, multi-output switches, and On-On-Off. The switch panel has active switch indicators with custom labels and an RCR-Touch bezel to assist in switch selection while you’re wearing gloves. Plus, we love that it is made in the USA.

3 ARB ZERO FRIDGE FREEZER

ARB unveiled a new freezer-fridge with dual climate zones, a reversible quick-release lid, Bluetooth controls, and the most efficient compressor on the market. The Zero fridge will be available in 73- and 101-quart sizes.

4 ROTOPAX ROLLPAX

The new RollpaX from RotopaX is around fuel storage container that includes tube clamps to mount to roll cages and tire carriers. The Rollpax holds 1 1 ⁄2 gallons of fuel and is available with CNC aluminum clamps in a variety of sizes.

5 BRACKETLESS ULTIMATE DANA 60

Dana is offering Ultimate Dana 60 axles without mounting brackets, allowing for installation in virtually any application, with the end-user adding the proper mounting brackets. Other than the deletion of the brackets, the axles include all the features of the Ultimate Dana 60, like 10-inch ring gears, massive Spicer SPL -70 U-joints, and 35-spline Chromoly axle shafts.

6 COME-UP BLAZER M3 WINCH

We thought that Come-Up’s Blazer winch with two motors was nuts, but now the company offers the Blazer M3 with three 8.0hp motors for a line speed up to 259 fpm! Three different gear ratios are offered depending on how much pulling power you need, and the free spool is pneumatically controlled.
