From a very young age, Marissa has strolled along the sea shore collecting sea shells and observing treasures on the beach, left behind by the sea. Marissa’s father has been managing a beach club for several years, where school holidays were spent from early morning till late evenings. The beach and sea plays a huge part in Marissa’s life. Now, Marissa wants to give back and create awareness among her audience about the sea and all that it’s carrying. Marissa says: “Unfortunately, the oceans are not only carrying treasures anymore, but are shockingly filled with a tremendous amount of (micro) plastics, chemical waste and dangerous abandoned fishing nets. Capturing the larger sea creatures that die a horrible death. We must provide clean oceans for future generations of fish, animals and the human race.”

My name is Michelle Abbott, I live in Kennesaw, Georgia, USA.
Marissa, born in 1981, is a successful award winning international artist from the Netherlands.
At eighteen I wanted to become a sculptor, but I didn’t feel ‘artsy’ enough and turned to a career in the office. Ten years later I studied as a make-up artist on the side and tried my first bodypainting. It would take six more years to get to my first contest, but that seeded the spark of the bodypaint virus. Your model is like a three-dimensional canvas (no disrespect!) and that’s how my brain likes to perceive art, I guess. Like a sculptor.
I was first inspired by airbrushing when I was 16 and saw HR Giger and Boris Vallejo’s work.
I am Sophie Michele Jacques, AKA Frankenfreckle Kustoms.
I’m Shirley Taylor from Batavia, New York, USA. I have been in the Kustom Culture World for about ten years.
Working on pinstriping keeps me mindful, focused, and calm by the time I'm done with my art, I get a lot of energy from my work. It makes me want to keep doing it again and again.
My name is Stefanie Lizet Murga, aka “Stef”.
Every piece of my art is made from inspiration. I have a passion to try new things using various techniques on different objects besides canvas. I like to paint on clothes, helmets and shoes which is different to what I was taught in the art program at tertiary level.
