Located in the campus of the Ahmedabad Racquet Academy, How Does It Matter is a multi-cuisine restaurant featuring both indoor as well as al fresco dining. The outdoor seating is perched on a gallery overlooking the football turf and tennis courts, which wear a lively atmosphere in the evenings when the matches and practice sessions are in progress.
For this project, the client’s only brief was to formulate a design as per the name of the restaurant. The main focus is on innovative dishes and setting new benchmarks of quality that would take the former name of the restaurant, Bawarchi, to a whole new level.
To this end, the restaurant was lent a completely modern look, with distinct characteristics attributed to each area. The total area of the project is 5,050 sq ft, of which the restaurant is spread across 1,950 sq ft, while the cafe occupies an area of 950 sq ft. Other segments include the porch, vestibule, waiting area and kitchen.
