A Non-Linear Connection

Conceived with the aid of computer algorithms, the Cloudbridge in Peru by Arturo Tedeschi is a refreshing approach to connect two points

A Non-Linear Connection

Project: Cloudbridge, Peru

Architects: Arturo Tedeschi

Born from the idea that “the line is the most boring path between two points”, Cloudbridge is a project that merges computational techniques with a natural architectural language. Influenced by the 60’s avant-garde, particularly by the Italian team Superstudio, and by more recent iconic architectures such as the Serpentine Pavilion 2013 designed by Sou Fujimoto, a project is a provocative approach that reflects the site’s existing natural landscape. Cloudbridge links two mountainsides via an ethereal, cloud-like structure, creating a non-linear path suspended between two points while responding to both the mountains and the sky.
