ISHINO TABLES BY WALTER KNOLL
Daï Sugasawa’s designs aim to link people back to their original environment. The Ishino table, with its organic shape and hues, does exactly that. The designer was inspired by the original beauty of pebbles, naturally polished and shaped by wind and water. So, the table features large, organically hewn bodies seemingly floating on a dainty framework. Balancing lightness and volume, Ishino exudes calm and harmony.
The pebble-like tops of the tables look as if they’ve been dipped in liquid metal. The metal surfaces of the cast tops are finished in copper, bronze and brass. And the exceptional craftsmanship is evident in the way the pigments offer a special charm to the tables turning each of them into a unique piece of furniture.
