THERE CAN be few places in fishing more famous than the Royalty Fishery on the Hampshire Avon, even Mr Crabtree has fished its illustrious waters. Salmon
The Hampshire Avon is a truly mixed fishery, its fertile waters home to good numbers of specimen coarse species such as roach, chub and barbel along with chalkstream brown trout and some truly monster salmon. The best of the trout fishing can be found in the upper reaches, where wild browns lie between waving fronds of ranunculus.
