We humans spend a lot of time on a daily basis taking a hot shower, as well as on brushing and styling our hair, regular nail spas and pedicures for our personal hygiene.
In short, we take care of ourselves, keeping ourselves looking and feeling good. Well, to be healthy and happy, your best friend needs regular grooming too; a spa and aromatherapy if you please.
Let’s first start with the basics and their importance. Regular brushing, combing and running your hands through your dog’s fur builds a close bond between you two. It also keeps you informed about the condition of his fur, skin, teeth, nails and ears. In fact, it is not uncommon to discover lumps, infections, and other problems during a thorough grooming routine of a pet. Therefore, it cannot be skipped, no matter what. It doesn’t take a lot of time, and you don’t need to spend money either.
Now, the complete grooming experience involves bathing, brushing and drying the fur, cleaning ears, clipping nails, teeth cleaning, anal sac expression, cutting or shaving mats, and also controlling external parasites with professional products. Some of these things cannot be done at home. You need a professional and trained groomer to groom your pet once a month or more frequently depending on the breed.
So now, for all of you who were thinking, “Does my pet need a professional? After all, it’s just a bath,” you now have the answer. It is not just a bath. It’s a matter of your dog’s health, which cannot be ignored.
The benefits of having a professional groomer handling your darling’s grooming needs include:
An Eye for Detail: Groomers are experienced experts. They have been trained to spot potential health issues before they could become problematic for your furry one. This could be anything from as minor as fleas to as dangerous as a lump signifying tumor growth that may have otherwise gone undetected.
