Saving Sabrina
Canine Zone|August/September 2020
On the 1st of May I received a call from a lady asking if I’d be able to take in a Pit Bull puppy. She said that it had been rescued from a township where it had been found buried alive by a community member who’d had her for two weeks. This lady drove past the house and saw this little skeleton puppy on the 30th of April – she was trying to hold her weak little body upright against the fence.

The puppy was skin and bone and covered in bite wounds from the community member’s two Pit Bulls, who’d kept on biting her when she wanted food. Thankfully, she was surrendered to the lady and was taken to AWS Helderberg, where she was kept in their hospital for two nights. So, on the 1st of May, the poor little one was brought to me at Puppy Love Rescue & Rehoming in Gardens, Cape Town.
