In the darkest hours of rescue, there’ll always be a shining light – we just have to decide to open our eyes and see it!
I, Stella Meldau, write this from my heart in a quest to encourage my fellow team players, who experience the ups and downs in our unique world of rescue, to know that they’re not alone, and it’s up to us as rescuers to light small flames to make a bonfire of hope, keeping the rescue flare alive!
These moments of illumination are truly experienced when we conclude a successful rescue, rehabilitation and, ultimately, a rehoming. It’s a communal victorious task which thrills the soul.
