Dog rescued from mud after riverbank fall

A DOG has been rescued by firefighters after it fell on to tidal mud flats and became trapped.

Two crews from the Truro station were dispatched to the scene at Newham on Saturday, June 14, after the dog fell and was unable to get back up to its owner.

The dog had fallen four metres, and firefighters used a triple extension ladder to reach the dog and bring it to safety.

Footage captured at the scene shows firefightres fastening a rope around the trapped dog to help pull it from the mud.
