TIVERTON Town manager Asa Hall says he plans to “create his own style” of management by picking from the best bits of managers he has played under.

- by RICHARD HUGHES

Hall had a 20-year career as a professional footballer, the last five under Gary Johnson at Torquay United. And, after managing Tiverton for 10 games to a last-day escape from relegation, the midfielder, who only joined the Yellows last summer, now has this summer to plan for another season in the Southern League Premier Division South.

Hall joined Tiverton from a Torquay relegation fight, but didn’t expect to be involved in another one after he was snapped up by Leigh Robinson. Hall and Niall Thompson were caretaker managers when Robinson went, and he was given the job with 10 games to go following a short spell in charge for Rob Dray.

Hall said: “I didn’t expect a season where it would be a relegation fight - it was a very turbulent season, put it that way.
