Shah Asks Guj CM To Implement New Criminal Laws Across State By 30 April

Shah extensively discussed progress in implementation of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, replacing IPC, CrPC, Evidence Act
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Thursday, directed the Gujarat government to ensure the implementation of the three new criminal laws across all the commissionerates of the state by 30 April 2025 and the entire state as well at the earliest.
Shah was chairing a review meeting in New Delhi on the implementation of the new criminal laws in Gujarat in presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. He extensively discussed the progress in the implementation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), replacing the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), and the Indian Evidence Act, respectively.
