Girl of govt residential school found pregnant

A girl student of a government run residential school was found to be pregnant by a mobile health team that visited the school for a routine health checkup.

SAIL plans to invest Rs. 35,000 crores for modernization in Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). It will enhance production capacity of the steel major from the current 4.5 MTPA to 9 MTPA by 2030.

However, this mega plan for RSP may hit a major roadblock if the state government doesn't take timely action to mitigate some issues. In a recent event chaired by Union Steel Minister HD Kumaraswamy, where the two central ministers from Odisha Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram were present, the CMD SAIL Amarendu Prakash is said to have expressed his concerns over the persistent issues.

The total land earmarked for expansion would be around 1200 acres, which is presently inhabited by 300 families of 8 hamlets. Rounds of discussions are being held with the state authorities on modalities for vacation of encroached land and resettlement of these 300 families."

He sought support from the state government on completion of survey of all the hamlets and finalisation of rehabilitation and resettlement scheme. The case of the recent agitation for the 2nd line from RSP to Dumerta Railway Station, in which one person had lost his life figured in the discussion.
