Cameroonian attacks NAIA guards; 5 hurt

Five airline security guards suffered injuries when a Cameroonian teenager attacked them with a chair and his belt on Thursday night at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1.
According to the NAIA Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Group report, the guards advised Floriant Ndzeng Atangana several times to stop loitering and going outside the holding area.
However, the 18-year-old foreigner became unruly and assaulted the guards using a chair and his belt while shouting profanities.
Police identified the injured guards as Roderick Pagulayan, Leofel Niño Laurilla and Christopher Naparate as well as Nursiya Narawi and Katrina Mae Riel.
The situation calmed down after security head Jio de Castro rushed to the area, with a medic team providing first aid treatment.
Police said the guards have not yet decided whether to press charges against Atangana, who was labeled as an inadmissible person by the Bureau of Immigration.
