Slight dip in TN's RTE admissions this year

THE number of schools and students admitted under the Right to Education (RTE) Act in Tamil Nadu saw a marginal dip this year, as the state began the admission process much later than usual.
For the academic year 202526, 7,717 schools registered for RTE admissions and 70,350 students were admitted in LKG, and 99 students in Class 1. In comparison, the previous year (2024-25) saw 7,609 schools participate and 71,306 students gain admission in LKG and 92 in Class 1.
