Sudden shifting of roads from dedicated to mixed and vice versa is being blamed
DESPITE repeated assurances by the authorities, Hubballi Dharwad Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) project is again in the news for the wrong reasons. On Tuesday morning, a speeding car rammed the barricades that separate the mixed traffic lane and the dedicated corridor. The people on the spot claimed that the lack of signboards is the reason behind the accident.
Fortunately, passengers made a narrow escape, sustaining minor injuries. The sudden shifting of the roads from dedicated to mixed and mixed to dedicated corridor are cause for such accidents. One can find such spots at Toll Naka, Navalur, Sattur, New APMC and other spots.
