In a tragic fire outbreak at an under-construction three-storey building on Thursday morning, two workers were charred to death while three others escaped -- two by jumping onto a coconut tree and the other taking refuge on an overhead tank.

The incident took place near Seegehalli Gate on the outskirts of Bengaluru in Madanayakanahalli police station limits. It is suspected that the fire broke out following a gas cylinder leak or a short circuit.
