Women's panel in overdrive, settles 579 cases in 2 years

THE STATS: NEW PACE
The Goa State Women’s Commission has recorded significant progress in addressing women’s issues, disposing of 579 cases between April 2023 and October 2025.
This translates to an average of 19 cases resolved per month, underscoring the Commission's commitment to expediting justice for women across the State.
During this period, the Commission heard a total of 1,194 cases, while also taking suo-moto cognizance in 14 matters.
Back in April 2023, when current Chairperson Ranjita Pai assumed office, 322 cases were pending.
Of these, 312 have since been resolved, continuing in the remaining 10.
