THE Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) in Neath is celebrating after two of its teachers have been honoured at the academy's national awards.

Vice Principal and musical theatre teacher, Karl Montgomery-Williams, and Ian Clarke, a film and television teacher, were two winners chosen from more than 1,200 PQA teachers across the UK, recognising excellence, creativity and dedication to young people.
Karl won the Outstanding Contribution Award, which celebrates teachers who have made a lasting, transformative difference within their academy. Known for his positive can do attitude, Karl has been instrumental in creating a warm and inclusive environment where every performer feels seen and supported.
