Princess continues return to duties after cancer recovery

- By Rebecca Russell Deputy Royal Editor

THE Prince and Princess of Wales are to join the King and Queen, and their guests Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron, for a carriage ride next Tuesday.

Kate, who has spoken of putting on a “brave face” during her cancer recovery, will carry out royal duties with William in Windsor as part of French president Mr Macron’s state visit.

Kensington Palace is yet to confirm whether she will attend the evening banquet at Windsor Castle.

The Princess, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2024, last appeared at a grand royal dinner 20 months ago in honour of South Korea’s then president Yoon Suk Yeol.

She confirmed she was free from the disease at the start of this year.
