PEOPLE across Ireland are being offered the chance to train as airline pilots for free, with potential earnings of up to €230,000.

For the first time, one of Europe's rapidly expanding airlines, Wizz Air, is launching a dedicated recruitment drive here.

The airline plans to train 1,200 new pilots by 2028, with a portion of those recruits expected to come from Ireland.
