McNamara makes his return to Super League coaching
Hull Daily Mail
|October 18, 2025
STEVE McNamara has returned to Super League, linking up with Sam Burgess at Warrington Wolves in an unspecific coaching role.
The ex-England boss was sacked by Catalans Dragons midway through the 2025 campaign, with Joel Tomkins having since taken the reins in Perpignan under a new era in the South of France.
McNamara handed Burgess his first-team debut back in 2006 as a teenager with Bradford, the start of an iconic career.
They also worked together on the international stage, including the 2013 Rugby League World Cup on home soil.
